Steve Naisbitt is the deeply cynical and bitter forty-something author of ‘Among the Dead’ book one of his ‘Black Metropolis’ sci-fi noir trilogy. In addition to working on ‘Envy the Dead’ the second novel, he writes for his WordPress sites ‘Darkgingerbread’ and ‘Blackwater Ink’. He is currently seeking representation for his debut novel. He has designs on the film and television industry through his passion science and dark fiction.
Steve claims to have been writing since he could hold a crayon. Fascinated by people and relationships from an early age; the medium of storytelling fired his imagination. Family deaths and the loss of his cherished younger brother fuelled his interest in death, grief and the darker more painful side of the human experience. It coloured his writings intensely. Cares and sorrows are what drive him to explore the world, from a shadow side perspective.
By the time he’d endured high school Steve was obsessed with ‘the story’ and the mechanics of its telling. Nightmares, grief, loneliness and the psychological fractures of heartbreak are the beating heart of his work; inspiring the creation of an alternate reality Imperialist United States and the fictional cyberpunk hell of Golgotha.
